$$$avers You can cut back on eat meat without missing it and save a bundle on your grocery bill. If you eat meat every night designate one night a week as a meat-free dinner. If your family won't go for this then make it a meat-less dinner. Use just a little meat in a stew, soup, casserole, or other dish. If you don't serve meat every night then make one more night a meat-free or meat-less dinner. Meat-Less meals contain more vegetables and less meat. When you incorporate Meat-Less meals into your dinner plans you'll save money, cut back on your family's meat consumption, get extra veggies into your family's diet, possibly even appease a vegetarian who won't eat a chicken breast but is okay with a little shredded chicken in a Chile Relleno. If however you have a committed vegetarian it's easy to leave the meat out of one portion of a Meat-Less meal rather than make another dish. Below are some Meat-Less meal links:
Banana chips: horror of horrors I've discovered the most dastardly trick. Banana chips are not dried, they are fried in oil! Needless to say I'm taking them off the recommended foods list. 2 banana chips = 140 calories! I know that we don't count calories here at the UnDiet, but that's just too outrageous for 2 banana chips! |

| UnDieter: Is baking tomatoes for any amount of time
allowable?
UnDiet: It's fine, it's just that tomatoes are very acidic when cooked. During weight loss, make sure to have lots of fresh Fruit or veggies with your meal to counteract the high acid content so you can digest your food quickly and efficiently. |
| UnDieter: Which is best to start out with? The Protein
Blast Plan, the Fat Blast Plan, or Day 1 of the Eating Plan. I'd like to
get started right away, but I'm not quite sure which one to go with. Is it
a matter of preference, what foods you like, how fast you want to lose weight,
or is it something else that makes these three plans different? Thank you

UnDiet: I've posted a variety of plans because The UnDiet is about making choices that will work for you, your preferences and your lifestyle. That can mean finding one plan that's right for you, or going back and forth between several different plans. You will lose weight the quickest on Produce Power, but it's difficult to stick with, so often an UnDieter will do Produce Power for 2-5 days, then go back to the Basic Plan, or Protein Blast. The Fat Blast is only for those who are metabolically resistant to losing weight. These are people who are generally very overweight, and who have yo-yo dieted for long periods of time. Even then, it should only be followed for 3-5 days. Bottom line - choose the plan that seems easiest for you to follow right now. In the beginning, any of the plans will kick start your weight loss. Later you may find that you want to switch to another plan, and that's okay. |
